Liebster Award 🎊

Hey popcorns! 🍿

It’s been a hot (no, not even hot BOILING πŸ˜‚) minute since I’ve actually opened a post and got much further than typing the title.

Because my blogging motivation has been non existent all over the place I thought I should ease myself back into the swing of things by doing an award post! Posting an award has been on my list for a crazy long time but I just feel like I have so many post ideas but not enough time to write them all 😐 Just me? Okay…

I was nominated by the AMAZING, incredible and honestly one of my closest blogging friends Arshia @ Words From Adaria, please go visit her blog and leave a comment because honestly she is one of the sweetest and most welcoming person I know and I am so glad she came across my blog a few months ago! πŸ₯°

THE RULES –

  1. Acknowledge the blog which nominated you. checkkk βœ…
  2. Answer the questions your nominator asked. roger that!
  3. Nominate two to six other bloggers who might appreciate the boost. will do ❀
  4. Ask them several unique questions. can’t wait!
  5. Let them know you have nominated them. *you have one new WordPress comment*

– QUESTIONS + MY ANSWERS

  1. If you could pick one thing to be really good at, what would it be?

Finding the middle ground between not loving yourself so much that you become over confident but not shaming yourself so much that you’re shy and ashamed of who you are which is AWFUL because everyone has something incredible to offer.

2. What are three small things that make you happy?

  • The fact that I’m not ashamed of my body and who I am as person, my strengths and my weaknesses.
  • Waking up early in the morning and getting that first intake of clean, fresh air.
  • Snuggling down for a family movie night with a mocha clasped in my hands

3. What did you want to be when you were younger that you no longer want to be, and why?

I used to want to be a baker. I’ve been baking for 8 years and honestly I love it so much but I realise that it’s more of a hobby than something I would be up for doing as a job.

4. If you wrote a book, who would you dedicate it to?

What a brilliant question. I would most likely dedicate it to a girl I’ve become friends with on Wattpad who has helped me with my writing so much. Honestly she inspires me everyday to keep writing and duhh-amnn is she a good writer.

5. What’s the biggest thing blogging, or the blogging community has given you?

It’s given me assurance, it’s given me assurance that people are going through these things too, that I’m not alone. That I shouldn’t be ashamed of who I am so thank YOU!

– NOMINATIONS –

I nominate (in no particular order, of course…)

Blondey On A Mission @ Tall Blonde Tales (she deserves this award so much 😊)

Charlotte @ Bewitching Books, Ravenous Reads (no pressure I know you’re easing yourself back to blogging! πŸ₯°)

– MY QUESTIONS –

  1. Are you a spontaneous person or a pre-planner?
  2. Do you suffer in silence or do you talk about how you’re hurting?
  3. You have a free plane ticket to go ANYWHERE in the world, where do you go?
  4. Do you like cozy nights in or late night adventures?
  5. Sunsets or sunrises, why?

Okay that was DUH-EEP! You know when you feel like you’ve let out something that you didn’t even realise you were holding in to begin with? Me too!

I had so much fun answering these EPIC questions, thanks so much again for nominating me Arshia πŸ₯° Now I’m about to have a sit down with my book because why not?!

That’s a wrap all you beautiful bloggers! πŸ€—

    1. Thank you Ash!! That means the world to me ❀️ Awh!! Yes let’s hope my wish comes true πŸ˜‚ They really are and I’m glad you share my mutual love of them πŸ™‚ It really is, I feel so honoured to have all of these people there for me πŸ’• I’m so happy to have met you too, your whole energy in your comments and on your blog always cheers me up πŸ’– Thank you again!

  2. Aww thank you so much for the nomination (: I really look forward to answering your questions, they’re fantastic. It’ll probably be a little while before I get it posted as I got behind in tags during my absence and I’m planning to post them all in order. I think I might have to do a tag week or something πŸ˜‚

I loved reading your answers. They’re so deep and thoughtful. I’d love to be more confident within myself. And a family movie night with a mocha sounds amazing (I haven’t had the drinks often but I do like them). I’m not great at early mornings but it does make you feel good to get up early and you can get so much done. Ooh baking is fun. I get wanting to keep it as a hobby though as that way it tends to stay as more of a fun activity. And that’s so sweet about the book dedication (:
Btw what book are you reading? I’ve finished another since speaking to you last. I’m hoping to start my next one either today or tomorrow but it depends on how I feel as I had a horrible headache earlier and it’s left me feeling quite drained. I hate being a headache sufferer -_- oh well, hope you’re well πŸ’—

    1. Of course Charlotte! πŸ’– Thanks so much, I always get nervous about asking questions that I won’t have any good ones but so many come to mind! That is totally fine, you take your time, if you do it in a year I honestly won’t mind πŸ˜… Yep it is tag week for me next week! Bring it on (not… πŸ˜‚)

Thanks so much! I really hope you can be, honestly you just need to remind yourself that you have something to offer and hat you are your own person, I go through stages of low self esteem but that’s okay! It really is, mochas are just mwah! πŸ˜‚ Ah I’m failing lately but I do agree… getting you early means getting so much done! I love baking so much and exactly, if it was my job I wouldn’t want to get bored of it! Awh πŸ’“
Currently I’m reading Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index which is REALLY good! I’m fairly close to the finish but I’ve really enjoyed it, I definitely recommend! That’s amazing ❀️ Ooo I hope you enjoy your next book, oh no!! Well hopefully you got lots of sleep and it re-energised you to read πŸ’• Hope you’re well too!

      1. Ah I totally get that, I have the same sense of panic when I have to come up with them too πŸ˜… aww thanks and ooh good luck with it 😊

Aww thanks (: I’m sorry that you get stages of it too. It’s a terrible feeling. And yes they are.
It really does. I got woken up early by the cat last week and wasn’t tired so decided I may as well get up and organised. I managed to get all of the flowers watered and a cake in the oven by the time that I’d usually be having breakfast πŸ˜‚
Oh yay I loved the sound of that one. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.
Thank you. I feel better now so hopefully after I get a couple of things done I’ll have a book day 😊

        1. Honestly, glad it’s not just me! Thanks so much πŸ’–

No worries at all, and it’s okay! That’s good you weren’t tired and wow that’s such a productive morning. I totally understand, the difference the other day I’d baked a cake and practiced my violin before I usually eat breakfast which felt crazy! πŸ˜‚ Definitely! No worries, I hope you manage to get those things done!

          1. It’s definitely not just you πŸ’—

Yeah it really can make a big difference. It’s quite nice waking up early if you don’t feel tired. And that’s awesome!! I had no idea that you could play the violin, I’d love to be able to do so. Thank you 😊

            1. What a relief! Exactly, if you feel tired and haven’t got enough sleep then it can be really unpleasant! Thanks so much, I hope you get to one day!

              1. Sorry for disappearing!! I honestly don’t know how I ended up away for so long.
Yeah I’m terrible at waking up on general. If I feel tired I tend to fall back asleep πŸ˜‚ although I do always make sure I get up at a reasonable time. It was nice waking up early and getting more done though
                Thank you 😊

  3. I absolutely loved this post and reading your answers!!! Also, wow thank you so much for the nomination it really means so much to me πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•βœ¨I also wanted to be a baker actually πŸ˜‚ I also wanted to let you know that I nominated you for some blogging awards too (the Mystery Blogger Award and the Sunshine Blogger award)!!! And I agree the blogging community is really so wonderful and inclusive I love it!!

    1. Thanks so much! That means a lot πŸ’– Of course you deserve it haha! Coincidence? I think not πŸ˜‚ Yes thank you so much for nominating me for them, I’m pretty sure I read and commented on them both this morning, that means a lot! It really is, it’s like a massive friendship group but without all that nasty drama πŸ˜‚

      1. You completely deserve it and thank you so much again!! 😊❀️ By the way … nice one throwing in that Incredibles quote πŸ˜‰ Yes I just saw your comments on them πŸ˜‚ and of course you deserve them and more reading your blog and seeing your comments brings the biggest smile to my face 😊 I know it’s so fantastic because you get all the best parts without the hassles, the drama and the catty pettiness πŸ˜‚

        1. Awh and no need!! ❀️ Hehe credit due where credit’s needed πŸ₯° Oh my you’re too kind- honestly your compliments josh make my day ☺️ Exactly!! Realistic friendship groups are just overrated, let’s be honest πŸ˜‚

          1. Awww you’re so sweetπŸ₯°πŸ™ˆ Yayyy I’m so glad because your comments also make mine ☺️ they really are πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ by the way I definitely think we would have a fun coffee meet up one day – we seem super similar and I love chatting to you πŸ˜πŸ’–

            1. Awh thank you!! ❀️ Hehe it’s a mutual thing then ☺️ That sounds amazing!! I’d absolutely love to do that, I think we’d get on like a house on fire 😍 I’m 99.9% sure you’re American πŸ˜‚

                1. For sure! Really?! Okay you said it was winter for you now so I think you’re Australian maybe? I’m really sorry it’s just when people say high school I’m like β€˜American’ but I forget it’s literally just the Brits that don’t call it that… πŸ˜‚

                  1. Definitely!! Okay so not Australian but my accent gets confused with that a lot πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ hehe it’s not a problem do you want to keep guessing or should I tell you?πŸ˜‚

                    1. Right okay… are you Canadian?! I’m determined to figure it out haha πŸ˜‚ If that answer is wrong then you can just tell me so I don’t keep embarrassing myself, lol πŸ™‚

  4. I loved reading all your answers, Amber! The first answer is beautiful, really something that we all need to incorporate in our lives – that perfect sweet spot of loving yourself as well as striving to be better! And a baker sounds so wholesome aw haha! Just the very idea of anyone being a baker makes me think of books I read in my childhood about warm, fluffy cakes with cute little pastel illustrations!

I’m really glad to hear that blogging helped you so much in that way. The community here really is wonderful and at times I feel very lucky to be a part of it! Missed reading your posts, so this one was definitely something I loved seeing on my reader!

    1. Thank you so much Arshia! πŸ’“ Really? Thank you!! I totally agree, it’s hard t get but it will feel so right when you are there. Awh right?! I’d always read about bakers in books as a child too and I’d be so fascinated 😌 Exactly! All those cupcakes and large cakes with intricate details were so lovely ☺️

Me too. It really is, everyone is so down to earth! Awh that means a lot, I’m trying to blog *key word trying* πŸ˜‚

  5. Same thing about how the blogging community helped me. It really made me felt like I was not alone during the times that I felt I was.

    1. I’m glad you can relate. I total,y agree I feel like having virtual friends is just such an amazing thing and it really does stop that empty feeling of loneliness πŸ₯°

  6. Absolutely love your answers for questions 1 & 2! πŸ™Œ What brings you happiness has reminded me that the things we consider to be small are actually huger than life in their importance, especially for our mental wellbeing. I’m intrigued to know what was the last film you watched on a family movie night? 🍿Was lovely to read a post from you again! Take care βœ¨πŸ’•

    1. Thanks so much Elsie! πŸ’• That is so, so true. We honestly don’t release that sometimes it’s the small things that really would be missed πŸ˜… Oo the last film we watched was X-Men Originals, we’ve been binging the X-Men lately and loving them all ❀️ Thanks so much Elsie and you too! Means a lot 😊
