Hey popcorns 🍿
Feels like it’s been so long since I’ve talked to you all, obviously I haven’t replied to any comments or posts but I’m about to do that after this post! 😊
Duh, duh, duhhh, we reached the end! We did it! And we only skipped 2 days 😂 I will for sure be getting out another post where you have the chance to vote, but maybe not till Sunday 💤
This is the weirdest prompt ever, and sounds pretty crazy but let’s do this! 💖
Writing Challenge 2020 Day 15 (finale): write a story where the characters know they are a work of fiction
“We don’t really exist though, so why should we follow Amber’s instructions?” I demanded, watching Ella as she elegantly applied her lipgloss, pouting in the mirror.
‘It’s her book, we’re just characters from her crazy brain. I told you, the book is boring if we don’t do what she writes! Why would someone want to read a book about a normal life anyway? We have to give them some drama!” Ella exclaimed, eyeing my skeptically in the mirror beneath her thick, long lashes.
“You don’t have to screw up your life to make it interesting.” I murmured to myself.
“No, you don’t, you’re right. You just have to change it!” She blew me an air kiss before zipping up her makeup bag and stepping into her five inch glittering, gold heels.
Amber had made Ella cheat on her loyal boyfriend, Brett, with Jack. Jack, a slobbering jerk who didn’t know his left from his rights.
I shook my head in disbelief, this book was seriously getting messed up! Why was I aways the best friend in her books? The girl who always lives in her best friends shadow, the girl who is too scared to tell her best friend the way she likes her isn’t just as a friend.
Oh, did I forgot to tell you? Amber also made me a lesbian. She said it brought ‘diversity and character’ to the book, I quote her directly. Diversity and character my peachy ass.
This is the part where I have to kiss Ella. I remember the exact words ‘leaning towards her, winding my arms around her neck, I leaned forward-’ oh son of a monkey this was hard. I didn’t give a monkeys about monkeys, but it seemed to fit my situation.
“You ready to go, Bels? The night doesn’t wait for no one,” she winked at me, causing a small shiver to slip down my spine.
Standing up and walking determinedly with courage I didn’t even know I possessed until now, I walked straight up to her till my face was in such close proximity to hers that I could see the light freckles that dusted her nose and the golden flecks streaking through her bright and joy-filled hazelnut eyes.
Oh readers, savour every word because your going to enjoy this, I hope it was worth the £7.50 you payed for it.
Leaning towards her, winding my arms around her neck, I leaned forward and gazed my lips against her, not quite pushing into a full blown kiss just yet, waiting for her to resist and for the embarrassment to come.
“Plot twist,” she whispered into my trembling lips before pressing hers firmly against them and snaking her hands around my waist.
If only this was real.
This could be quite tricky to continue writing, but honestly I’m up to giving it a go if you liked it 😂
Anyways, hope you enjoyed and please, please PLEASEEE stay on the lookout for my next post where you will have the chance to vote for the story I continue with! 😊
Did you find this writing prompt weird? Are you said the 15 Day WC is over? Do you know which story you will vote for?
Ps. Over the course of this writing challenge, I’ve got lost in way too many stories, lived too many lives to count and fell in love with more fictional characters than both my hands can count! 😂
