Hey popcorns 🍿
I’m sitting here, writing this duh, sipping iced coffee recipe coming soon and smiling at how lucky I am that we have an inset day today so no online school! ☀️ Online school will start up tomorrow, but I’m not dreading it that much, honestly just trying to have a positive attitude! 😊
Also my dad is building me some bookshelves to go on my wall and AH I’M SO EXCITED because all my books don’t fit at the moment! 😔

Writing Challenge 2020 Day 13: write a story about having a witty sidekick
“A penny for your thoughts, five pounds if they’re dirty.” Ash taunted me, using his wit to throw me off guard.
“Shut up.” I muttered, he was pushing me to my limits.
“Oh I’m sorry, I don’t remember asking for a glass of your opinion,” he retorted.
Ash always had something to say, some witty remark or rude comeback, it was infuriating! But he had my back, and that was the main thing.
“She doesn’t like me, Axel. She is totally a league above me anyway,” I grumbled,
“No she isn’t, you just have to grow a backbone and ask her out, trust me, it isn’t rocket science.” He rolled his eyes at me, frustrated at my very obvious lack of confidence.
“Keep rolling your eyes like that and you might actually find a brain back there.” I growled at him.
“If your going to be a smart ass, first you have to be smart. Otherwise your just an ass.”
He had a point, I was failing all my classes with flying colours. That didn’t matter, it was that girl that mattered.
Turning my head to stare at Jenny Ryan, who made me blush just by looking at her, I gazed dreamily at her blond luscious curls and plump pink lips, imagine kissing-
“Dude, she’s coming. At least try look like you don’t have dreams about kissing her every night.”
Kicking him under the table, I didn’t mutter a response as Jenny was fully in earshot now and a few strides away from our table.
Just the way she sauntered over to us, her body flowing to a beat that no she could hear made my stomach flip.
“Axel, hey baby.” She smiled seductively at him, stealing a french fry from his plate and popping it into her mouth.
I mean, even she could look good eating french fries. Not many people can accomplish that, me included.
Recovering from my french fry thought train, I suddenly processed that she had called Axel baby, what the heck was that about?
“Hey Jen.” He smiled stiffly, his jaw clenched and his face a few shades lighter than it was before.
“What’s wrong baby? Still not recovered from last night?” She flirtatiously winked at him, stroking his left bicep possessively.
There was a last night? What the heck?
Suddenly, I put all the pieces together of last night. Him not taking my calls, turning off his snap maps and looking all secretive when I asked him what had happened last night. He was with her.
“I trusted you Axel, I told you everything! You knew that going behind my back with Jenny, the girl who I’ve had a crush on for almost five years, would hurt me, yet you did it anyway. Some sidekick you are.” I yelled at Axel, picking up my lunch tray filled with leek and potato soup with a side of strawberry yoghurt and throwing it all down his fresh red V-neck jumper.
Not waiting to see the trauma I’d caused his jumper, I stormed across the cafeteria and once I’d reached the exit I turned around to see everyone staring at me with shock and I knew exactly what to say…
“Screw you Axel.”
I feel like I did achieve the witty sidekick…? I hope so 😂 I was going to write a Sherlock Holmes spin off but then I got inspiration for this I knew I had to follow the inspiration and see where it would lead me, when it comes to writing you just have to write what comes into your brain 💖
Have a fabulous day, wish me luck in my 3rd week of online school and I hope everyone is coping okay! 🥰
