Quirky Ramblings #4 : Dealing with emotions (negative & positive)! πŸ’™

Hey world!

So this post is a lil’ late and I have literally just finished writing it as I have felt really lazy today and well something really scary happened to me today but I think I’ll leave that story for another time! πŸ˜‡ I will be posting an award pretty much after this post (I’m actually posting back-to-back and these posts haven’t even been scheduled πŸ˜‚) This post is only early because, as you already know, I’m going on an hiatus! Anyways, you’ve probably guessed what this is about so why don’t we jump straight into it, shall we?

Sorry guys I was in a rush when creating this…⏰⏳

What exactly are emotions?

Right, we all feel emotions everyday, right? Sometimes we feel angry, sometimes sad and sometimes happy. Have you guys ever had that day where you just have a rollercoaster of emotions and you come back home emotionally exhausted? I mean, I’v definitely had quite a few of those days, but how are we supposed to cope with it?! Especially when your a teenage, I mean like normal emotions aren’t enough we also have to suffer PMS and mood-swings! How are we supposed to cope? What are we supposed to do?! Well, I’m going to give you my top tips on how to cope with emotions (good & bad)!

– Anger –

I think everybody has felt this emotion before, we’re all human. Whether it’s bad luck or someone else’s doing, somehow we have been inflicted with anger. The way I cope with anger is usually by analysing the situation, I mean, should I really spend my time being angry when I could be doing something else? Am I simply wasting my time? Usually, it would be a yes. As soon as you start putting the situation into perspective I’m sure you will feel a lot better. Now go do what you want to do, go binge watch Netflix and catch up with some Gilmore Girls, have a massive disco in your room and call your best friend or maybe do some meditation and yoga! Another method that I find works for me, is imagining anger as a person in your mind, then locking him/her in a cell far down below the ground (where they will never find you!) and destroying the key. For me, that works with pretty much every emotion! πŸ’™

– Excitement –

This is probably one of the best emotions ever, but also one of the worst. Hear me out, okay? πŸ˜‚ So you can be excited for small things like a blogiverssary or your birthday, which is great! But have you ever been so excited for something that you can’t concentrate at all? Your mind keeps counting down the days, you lose concentration easily and you keep imagining whatever you are excited for? That is something I call “Ecstatic Excitement” which I find can really disrupt your life and what you are doing! If you ever feel excited for something, try go for a walk and do something relaxing to calm your brain down, do something that will take your mind off the though / excitement.

– Fatigue –

Yes, guys, fatigue is actually an emotion. To be honest, I basically have an immune defficiency so I have to take like tons of vitamins that make me feel less tired and washed out. So my top tips are: get more sleep and drink more coffee β˜• Also, maybe take some extra vitamins if you notice your feeling a lot tired than usual. Preferably don’t get addicted to caffeine (it’s actually a drug), but sometimes you just got to drink coffee and carry on xD

I just want to say to everyone suffering with bad emotions just stay strong, I believe that you will get through it<3

Sorry guys about how short this post was, kinda in a rush and was running out of inspo. What do you think about this topic? // Do you have any tips? // Tell me all in the comments ❀

That’s a wrap guys, thanks for reading! Look out for my award post coming out soon after this (my last post before my hiatus!)

  1. Great post! I’m definitely going to try these methods. The biggest issue I have is anxiety and from personal experience, ignoring it definitely doesn’t work. I hope you’re okay, it’ll get better I promise πŸ’›βœ¨πŸ’«

    1. Aw, thanks Kiwi! I seriously recommend it. I’m also a massive sufferer of anxiety but I didn’t really want to blog about that, I actually had to go to the councellor because of it as I was going through a really rough patch. Seriously, if you ever feel like you need to talk about ANYTHING, I’m here okay? x I think we’re pretty much the same age so I can relate πŸ˜‡ Just don’t be afraid to reach out for help. HOPE = Hold On Pain Ends. I just love that saying πŸ’™ Ignoring it just doesn’t work, instead you have to address the problem. I actually have a method that I use for anxiety. So what you have to do is imagine your like the judge (even imagine yourself wearing that white wig πŸ’™πŸ˜‚) at a court, and each anxiety is a person waiting to plead your attention. Now address each person / problem and consider if it is worth you thinking about it, if yes then continue delving deeper and trying to find a solution, if not send them out the door and out your brain. It really works, it doesn’t work for everybody but just give it a chance.
Thank you so much Kiwi and remember I’m here for you, okay? x

  2. Hey! Great post, some of these ways I’ve never thought πŸ’ about on how to control my emotions and I feel like this post really, really, really helped me and I’ll be trying out your methods for sure. I also want you to know that you can always talk to me about what you’re feeling or going through – no judging what-so-ever. πŸ’—πŸ’–

    1. Thanks Hannah πŸ’ž Thank you! I definitely recommend you should, so happy they helped. Thank you so much! πŸ’™ You have no idea how much that means, I’ll definitely be taking you up on that some time x
      Thank you Hannah 😊

  3. Sis how can you leave me on a cliffhanger and not tell me what happened? I request a storytime in 0.2 seconds. 0.2….0.1…ACTION. Lol jk but I look forward to it. Ah I love this post and I love how you cope with anger. I went to this conference on emotions and the neuroscience behind it and the best thing to do when you’re angry is imagine a peaceful place where you can let that tension roll off of you. I like writing my rants down when I’m angry and praying when I’m overwhelmed (other than the daily ones). Omg I love excitement so much. I love having something to look forward to and I’m super excited about this event coming up fyhdud but yeah, I need to tone it down a bit. ALSO, how do you even survive coffee omg?! It’s so bitter ekh. I only like tea and I like working out when I’m tired. Awesome post!!

    1. I’m so sorry Grandma Bay πŸ˜‚ I’ll tell the story pretty soon. Aha, I son’t think re-enacting the story would do any good πŸ˜‚ The hilarious part right now is that your actually making me laugh right now, like literally LOL xD Anyways I’m back from my break and missed you tons Bay! Can’t WAIT to catch up with your blog ❀ That's really cool, I'm definitely going to use that technique! I learnt mine from this counselling dealing with emotions group I went to, it was really helpful. Yes, I understand that, I love reading your rants, they make me laugh sometimes πŸ˜‚ Excitement is a really good thing but do you kinda get what I'm saying about "bad excitement? x Aha, it must be a big event, I hope you enjoy it πŸ™‚ Coffee is the best, well Americanos are. I also love tea! ❀ I'm drinking some right now *slurppp* xD That's actually a really good thing to do because apparently it releases endorphins so good for you Bay! I didn't know Grnadma's could work out aha xD
      Thank you so much xx
      Amber x

Definitely, it’ll probably be coming out soon! ❀ Aw that’s great, yeah I’m really sorry how late my replies are, still trying to post and keep up to date! 4. This was such a short and sweet post Amber! I liked the idea of imagining anger as a person and locking him away in a room! That is so brilliant! I’m surely gonna try it πŸ–€
Emotions are treasures! They make life worth it x
    Penny x

    1. Hey Penny! Aw thanks, that’s kinda what I was going for, from now on my posts are going to say short and sweet, no rambling just good content if you get me?! It’s actually a really good technique, it’s something I learnt from a counsellor went to see when I was having a tough time and I”ve used it ever since! πŸ’™ Definitely!
They do though! The good makes up for the bad! Going to catch up with your blog very soon x
      Amber xx
ps. Thanks for lovely comment and reading my rambles.

  5. I can definitely relate to having SO many emotions running riot in your mind – feeling too much can be a strength, but it can also drag you down πŸ˜… great post and all the best xx

    1. Aha, so glad it’s not just me 🀣 Exactly, it’s just on of those things isn’t it?! So sorry I haven’t been on your blog for such a good time, let’s just say it’s pretty stressful trying to keep up with everybody’s blogs xD Thanks Gracie x And thank you for taking the time to read and comment πŸ™ƒ

  6. Hey, whatever happened today I hope you’re ok ❀

        1. That means a lot El x πŸ’™ Just happy to be part of the community, I never feel disconnected when I’m blogging! πŸ’™

          1. Same!
I know a lot of people say social media’s bad for you but I genuinely think blogging is one of the best things I’ve ever started, I’ve learnt so much & met so many amazing people (like you!) πŸ’•

            1. Yasss! ❀ Is blogging a social media? Sorry I just realised that it would probably be classed as a social media xD Tell me about it! It’s probably one of the best choices I’ve made in life, I’m just so happy I started it! ❀ Aw yass, I’m so happy I got to talk to you in blogging πŸ˜‡
              Amber x

              1. I guess blogging isn’t a typical social media but it’s sharing mixed media…socially? So I guess it counts πŸ˜‚

                1. Good point actually! I thin I may do that in a QOTD next post ❀ It’s just something that has never crossed my mind, but you have a good pint there!
