So this post is a lil’ late and I have literally just finished writing it as I have felt really lazy today and well something really scary happened to me today but I think I’ll leave that story for another time! 😇 I will be posting an award pretty much after this post (I’m actually posting back-to-back and these posts haven’t even been scheduled 😂) This post is only early because, as you already know, I’m going on an hiatus! Anyways, you’ve probably guessed what this is about so why don’t we jump straight into it, shall we?
What exactly are emotions?
Right, we all feel emotions everyday, right? Sometimes we feel angry, sometimes sad and sometimes happy. Have you guys ever had that day where you just have a rollercoaster of emotions and you come back home emotionally exhausted? I mean, I’v definitely had quite a few of those days, but how are we supposed to cope with it?! Especially when your a teenage, I mean like normal emotions aren’t enough we also have to suffer PMS and mood-swings! How are we supposed to cope? What are we supposed to do?! Well, I’m going to give you my top tips on how to cope with emotions (good & bad)!
– Anger –
I think everybody has felt this emotion before, we’re all human. Whether it’s bad luck or someone else’s doing, somehow we have been inflicted with anger. The way I cope with anger is usually by analysing the situation, I mean, should I really spend my time being angry when I could be doing something else? Am I simply wasting my time? Usually, it would be a yes. As soon as you start putting the situation into perspective I’m sure you will feel a lot better. Now go do what you want to do, go binge watch Netflix and catch up with some Gilmore Girls, have a massive disco in your room and call your best friend or maybe do some meditation and yoga! Another method that I find works for me, is imagining anger as a person in your mind, then locking him/her in a cell far down below the ground (where they will never find you!) and destroying the key. For me, that works with pretty much every emotion! 💙
– Excitement –
This is probably one of the best emotions ever, but also one of the worst. Hear me out, okay? 😂 So you can be excited for small things like a blogiverssary or your birthday, which is great! But have you ever been so excited for something that you can’t concentrate at all? Your mind keeps counting down the days, you lose concentration easily and you keep imagining whatever you are excited for? That is something I call “Ecstatic Excitement” which I find can really disrupt your life and what you are doing! If you ever feel excited for something, try go for a walk and do something relaxing to calm your brain down, do something that will take your mind off the though / excitement.
– Fatigue –
Yes, guys, fatigue is actually an emotion. To be honest, I basically have an immune defficiency so I have to take like tons of vitamins that make me feel less tired and washed out. So my top tips are: get more sleep and drink more coffee ☕ Also, maybe take some extra vitamins if you notice your feeling a lot tired than usual. Preferably don’t get addicted to caffeine (it’s actually a drug), but sometimes you just got to drink coffee and carry on xD
I just want to say to everyone suffering with bad emotions just stay strong, I believe that you will get through it<3
